Yes, usually a sakura / cherry blossom flower has only 5 petals. I know. But a watch dial is usually divided into 12, and so 6 petals fits better for a watch.
There is also a cool story I can tell about a 6 petaled sakura that really exists.
The Space Sakura (宇宙桜, read as そらざくら / Sora-zakura) is a name that is used for cherry blossom trees that grew out of the seeds that went into to space on the Space Shuttle Endeavour OV-105 in 2008, and and stayed at the ISS 's Japanese Experiment Module "Kibō" (meaning "hope") for 8 months.
There were 14 different types of blossoms from 14 different locations in Japan, but the one in particular, the one came from a very old cherry blossom tree (Cerasus itosakura) in Yamanashi prefecture's Jissou temple. This cherry blossom tree is the very first natural monument designated by Japan during the Taishō era (1912 to 1926), and said to be 2000 years old. Its name is 山高神代桜 (Yamadaka Jindai-zakura), and its descendant that traveled to space is planted in the same temple is named 宇宙神代桜 (Uchuu Jindai-zakura), adding the 宇宙 (Uchuu / space).
That's a cool story right? Unfortunately though, the word Space Sakura (or more specifically, the Japanese word "宇宙桜") is a registered trademark. Although, technically, it seems the trade registration doesn't seem to cover watches, instead, other products, such as clothing products, drinks, and events. So I guess I have no problem selling this dial as Space Sakura Dial, but I would not want to cause any trouble with the trade mark owners, so now I'm asking a related party.
Anyway, here I am selling the prototype Sakura dials. There are 2 options. One has silver colored outline with white logo, and another has gold colored outline with gold colored logo. There are only 3 each color in existence.
For the product edition, I might rotate the dial a bit so a petal's higher part would be on the top. The retail price is likely to be around 75 USD.
*Please note that due to the natural Mother-of-Pearl, each dial has different pattern, which you cannot choose!*

1-Year Manufacturing Defects Warranty
I have been wearing one of the functioning prototypes for almost 6 months. So far, it's functioned with no problems, and I am confident that it would for at least the next 6 months.
The reason I made sure that it's specifically 1-Year warranty for "Manufacturing Defects" is that I believe that most of the people who have never utilized the warranty of a product don't realize that the warranty only covers Manufacturing Defects. Some watch brands offer a longer warranty, such as 5 years or 10 years—but by then, how would you know that your broken watch suffered a manufacturing defect, or normal wear-and-tear? And would you ever be able to convince the brand's customer service that it was indeed a manufacturing defect?
Their warranty doesn't cover wear-and-tear, or user error, and neither does this warranty. But I do think it is important to clarify that it is a warrant for manufacturing defects, instead of just issuing that it is a vaguely worded "warranty" which sounds like something that might cover something more than manufacturing defects. And 1 year is enough time to warrant manufacturing defects.
